Andrea
Lea Smith
Born: Waco, TX (Yes, I am officially a
Texan.)
Raised: Yukon, OK—Czech Capital of
Oklahoma, suburb of OKC
Childhood Memories: Playing outside with
all the neighborhood kids, doing chores at my grandparent’s farm,
spending time with family, cleaning my room (I have always been a
neat freak)
Elementary School: I was a good student
and enjoyed school. I rarely missed a day and even received an
award for perfect attendance.
High School: I was Salutatorian of Yukon
High School Class of ’89 (Can you say geek?) My mom taught English
in the 9-10th grade building and then when I was a junior
she moved to the 11-12th grade building. It became a
family joke that I needed to let her know where I was going to
college so she could teach there next.
Mathematics: I have been helping others
with math since I was in Jr. High, but earning a living teaching it
since 1993. I started teaching at Bishop McGuiness High School in
OKC, and then taught courses as a graduate student at Oklahoma State

Favorite Job: Working for a caterer
while in college. It is hard work, but a lot of fun!
Favorite Color: Purple (It started
early in life!)
Favorite Pastime: Cooking and Baking
Favorite Movies: An Affair to Remember,
Anne of Green Gables
Favorite Memory #1: Being on the Cliffs
of Moher in Ireland with a rainbow in the sky and the sun glistening
on the ocean as Tim got down on his knee and asked me to marry him!
Favorite Memory #2: Being with Tim
on Sun Island on Lake Titicaca in Bolivia and seeing a multitude of
stars. I asked Tim what we were seeing and he said, “That’s the
Milky Way!” It was simply amazing.
Anticipation: I am eager to share our
Wedding day with our family and friends. I am excited about our
Honeymoon trip to Hawaii and then seeing the Grand Canyon when we
get back to the mainland. I am blessed to be loved by Tim and am
looking forward to building a life with him!
